as usual, 850 words of relevant

is relevant to my life.

an excerpt:

"I believe most of the confusion comes from trying to be a good person in the eyes of two different groups of people—those who are Christians and those who are not. But often what God wants from us, or what He calls righteousness, is the opposite of what our parents, teachers and society would have in mind. Trying to please both groups of people can be like going in two different directions at once. It's so much simpler really: Be obedient to God. That is being a "good Christian." In trying to please everybody, I felt that I failed to please anyone, least of all God."
